CEARCALL is overall an Artistic Research platform. Artistic Research merges the contrasting activities of the artist and the researcher: whereas the artist is concerned with making, imagination, experience, sensation, and the ‘subjective production of new relationships’, the researcher focus on analysing, measuring and giving meaning towards objectively articulating new knowledge. Artistic Research therefore lies at the intersection between making and analysing bringing together two distinct modes of operation (De Assis, 2020).

Cearcall Arts is Currently based at the University of Amsterdam, where Siobhan is studying her masters degree in Art and Performance Research Studies.

Previously this year she has worked as a researcher for Silencio Art Laboratory analysing how different levels of explanation affect the way that we consume art- her research can be viewed via  https://www.silencio.ooo/experiments

Working alongside other academic researchers at the University of Amsterdam she also developed a performance art piece exploring the concept of Degrowth and co-conceptualised an exhibition which is part of the Klimaatmusem project and running from June 2024- September at the University of Amsterdam.
